Parte de las fortificaciones se desmantelaron para que no pudieran ser utilizadas por los espa\u00f1oles. Hubo que esperar hasta 1669 para que el mariscal Vauban volviera a levantar y reforzar las murallas de la ciudad <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A\u00fan hoy, esta antigua ciudad mercantil conserva bellas huellas de su historia y su condici\u00f3n de emplazamiento defensivo.
