The village of Nyer has a rich history of feudal lords. As you walk in this town you will discover jewels of the historical heritage of the territory of the Natural Regional Park of the Catalan Pyrenees: the medieval castle of La Roca (about one hour walk from the train station by hiking trails) as well as the Castel of Nyer (in the heart of the village, near a resident care home and a restaurant with a nice view, both managed by the Joseph Sauvy Association).
